Head Room

Heads from the old wax museum. Guides are not supposed to point this room
out to guests, but it is visible through a window at certain times of day.
I always showed it to kids, who tend to get restless by this point in the tour.

I followed a link here from Boing Boing. What a great blog.

Is there any particular reason this room isn't meant to be shown to guests?

I just saw a great show(GHOST HUNTERS) on the house. They did a few hour investigation of the MH. It did not appear to be haunted. Yet, you say not much haunted. I am curious if you had anything differerent happen to you, and if so what? I am curious either way. I find the house to be even mmore interesting that a sane woman just liked to have a big house. anyway,, this is an incredible blog and i came from BBSPOT.COM

Lilitou, there's not really a reason this room isn't shown to guests, it's just not very visible. It also doesn't have much to do with Mrs. Winchester, so it isn't part of the tour. The heads are visible through a window in the second-to-last room on the tour (a kitchen).

Mel, I never experienced anything unusual in the mansion, but I like ghost stories. I like to let the guests decide for themselves if the house is haunted.
